On a recent visit to the UK I heard a song played a lot on the radio. A male vocalist (on piano) who kept breaking into a falsetto. It's obviously popular in the UK but not being played abroad, so... can anyone suggest what it is?
I even caught a glimpse of the singer on BBC2's "culture show". A lanky guy, white, clean shaven with a bush of messy hair! looked about 20 (but then, the all do).

Cheers

Sounds very much like Mika, with his song Grace Kelly - number 1 in our charts for 5 weeks recently. Not a bad achievement for a debut hit!

Quickly went onto Amazon and heard the song.
Yep, that's the one.

Fun but I bet it gets on your nerves after a while, still, I've ordered it so... thanks Littleoldme!
The albums not bad if you like pure pop.

There are songs that remind you of other artists such as Queen, Robbie WIlliams, Dolly Parton (9to5) & The Scissor Sisters it's not a bad album if you like that sort of thing.
Has anyone else noticed how much he sounds like Miss Piggy on his current single? I could have sworn that was the mighty Frank Oz singing "shock shock me"...
his debut single was called relax - take it easy and was out last year - I bought it then but didnt do that well and is on album - I think album is bit over-rated but my friends love it - sorry to be pedantic!
it sounds like patrick wolf to me
