Write protected? help!

I have some songs to put on my mp3, but some of them are saying that they're write protected and i must remove the protection or use another disc.
So how would i go about removing the protection and does it invole more downloads? - which im not keen to use.

Try this.
Locate the file on your PC, right click on the file icon, choose Properties.
You should get a window with a number of tabs, choose General.
At the bottom of the window is a Read Only field.
If there is a tick in there, remove the tick from the box and press OK.
From your description I am not SURE it is your problem but it is worth a try.
