Free music downloads?

Hi everyone
My friend and I are putting together a video for youtube and myspace. We want to get hold of a variety of music clips... especially something from the silent movie era - that are free to download or we won't get into trouble downloading. The music will only be used for around one minute. Whilst I'm all in favour of 'artistes' being paid for performances, we can't afford to pay �500 or more for a licence for something that's just being used for a bit of fun. Can anyone point us in the direction of some decent sites. Many thanks.

this is just one of many that offer royalty free, you pay once and can use forever, alternatively just do a google search

Or you could try a p2p program. They are often very useful, some examples such as Ares, Limewire and Bearshare. Make sure you download the free ones ; )
