There Were Roses sung by Cara Dillon...the song is about two young friends one fenian and one hun...one was killed in Newry by terrorists and the other was killed in revenge by the other side...the song was based on a true story about people bases on the Ryan Road where the songs writer Tommy Sands (of the Sands Family fame) is from.......his version is available on his album Singing Of The Times catalogue number SCD1015 available from Spring Records, Rostrevor, Co. Down, N. Ireland.
