I have reached that stage where its time to offload my juvenilia. I have a shedload of 80s LPs and singles, mostly punk, heavy metal, Gothy type stuff. I'm an inch away from dumping the lot in a skip. Should I chuck it or is it worth investigating selling it? If so where is the best place where I can do it quickly without a lot of tooth pulling?

Dont throw them away - some of them may be quite collectable Punk, Heavy Metal and Goth are more collectable than a lot of the popy stuff that was about in the 80's, take em to a few second hand record shops. If you want to check out the price first there is a magazine called record collector (i think) but you will probably have to order back issues to find the artists you have. Or try Ebay
Your best bet to make the maximum money is to sell them individually and privately but the quick easy and painfree way is take them to a record fair and flog the lot to a dealer.....you'll lose a good bit but no real hassles....check eBay to give you a rough idea first though just in case you have any diamonds in there and if so keep them seperate from the dross and haggle a distinct price for them.
Keep them, Keep them, Keep them - old vinyl is a great way of stashing cash until your old and grey! Never sell it unless it is THAT bad. If you must sell then try advertising them, there are loads of metal heads waiting to get their mitts on them.
