I am having a debate with my husband. I say that he recorded Tears in Heaven AFTER his son Connor died. He disagrees. I am sure he wrote it as a tribute to him. Anybody wanting to settle this argument???

And the woman is right again. :-) Hooraggghhh
and he wrote the Westlife classic 'Flying Without Wings'
Sorry. That was uncalled for.
Clapton was interviewed by Sue Lawley on her chat show just after this dreadful accident, and he talked about the song. He then produced an accoustic, and played and sang it - for the first time. I bawled like a girly all the way through it, and I still get a lump in my throat when ever I hear it.
Your right, he did write it after his son died as a tribute to him
