I have been trying to find out what films and tv shows a particular song has appeared in.

The song "Stand By Me" came on the radio this morning, I have of course heard it a million times but for some reason this morning when it came on it reminded me of something, a TV show or a film I have watched recently but I can't think what it is and it's bugging me.

I have managed to find a list of films it has appeared in but it's not any of them because I haven't watched any of them so it must be a TV program.

I just have this vision of someone in a TV program that's about to get killed and another person decides to stay with them and die with the person. The song stand by me plays in the background but I can't think of what it is.

Any help would be appreciated, I won't sleep tonight if I don't find out.

I think it was in The Witness with harrison Ford dancing with the Amish girl round the car, and also the John travolta film Urban Cowboys possibly.
Ben E Kings IMDb profile which shows what films / tv shows have had his songs in

Looks like an episode of Highlander could be it??

It was from a great film called "Stand by Me" about a group of young boys. I think one of them was River Pheonix.
The film was indeed "Stand by Me" based on a Stephen KIng story.

I've not seen any of those films so it can't be them I'm thinking of.

I know it's been used a lot but it's something I've seen and it isn't any film, it's a tv program it was in.

Thanks for the replies.
