I don't have a favourite album, but, as a matter of 'interest' , I used to see Rod Temperton, who wrote a lot of the tunes on his albums (including Thriller), playing the organ in a tiny seafront pub, in Cleethorpes...many moons ago!
He wrote stuff for George Benson and Herbie Hancock, too.
