Today I was having some lunch next to Tesco car park and noticed the following, around 90% of women enter the parking spaces forwards instead of reversing into them, why is this? Ladies, It's much easier if you reverse into them so you can drive away without problem

maybe we park in them forward because its easier to put ur shopping into the boot!!!! if u reverse in its a nightmare. But i do agree it is much easier to reverse into a parking space which i do when im not doing a big shop!!!!
Hehe linds1 & Alan2, I noticed this too. I used to reverse in then wondered why I couldn't get the trolley to my boot ;)
sure, but reversing into them is about as hard/easy as reversing out, so really it's six of one and half a dozen of the other
Women tend to avoid reversing a vehicle whenever possible - part of the brain which allows spatial ability is missing in the female of the species. Just watch a woman try to reverse park and you will see the evidence of my theory.
I never park next to someone who has reversed into a supermarket bay because they are very likely to run their trolley along my paintwork when they go to their boot.
hey homer75!!!! im a woman and im very good at reverse parking thank u!!!! and reverse park most of the time the only time i dont is when i go shopping
It's funny Alan 2, but I always wondered why people reverse into parking spaces at the supermarket ! it must be difficult to get your trolley to the boot without scratching the car next to you. Maybe women drivers have got it right, well there's no maybe really !!! Happy parking.
Hi linds1 - you may be one of the exceptions to the rule if what you say is true. ( Many woman fantasize that they can parallel - reverse park but the sad reallity is that this is never true ). However, if you can indeed reverse park then you must have a male brain and perhaps you should investigate this further - hormone tests etc.

omg now I can't post properly I must be developing a female brain aaaaarrrrggggghhhhh!!
I find that most males who are useless drivers always feel better if they can take the micky out of women drivers!
When they arrive somewhere they are checking their makeup in the mirror, so can't use it to reverse ... the opposite applies when they're on the way home .... obvious really
So true Toureman!

I'm female and I usually reverse park in car parks, always have done. My husband usually parks forward and reverses out. Maybe we have somehow swapped brains!
Tourman, I think you may have a female brain - get the tests done.
I am female and I always reverse park, because its easier to get out (and I like the look of my car more from the front ha ha), at work, my very good male friends has admitted to me that he is afraid of reverse parking because he finds it too difficult and many of the other men have said that they much prefer to park forwards, oh and the whole better driving thing, why is females insurance cheaper if there worse drivers, perhaps because they are involved in less accidents? 3 of the blokes at work have been involved in an accident in the past year compared to none of the women!!
