Does anyone remember a song that used to get played on Kiss FM around the same time as Shaggy's 'Mr Boombastic' with the same backing track, by an unkown male reggae artist.

The lyrics were something like "Gal a fly all the way from Paris, and she tell me how she 'fraid of Chuck Norris, she don't want no man to punch and box and kick, want a man that is romantic".

Sorry, although really familliar I can't remember the name of the track.

You can scan the chart records for 1995 and see if anything jumps at you (http://www.everyhit.com)

Mr Boombastic used King Floyd's sample but apart from Cypress Hill I couldn't find anyone else using it. The only remix of Shaggy's that I could find was by Lady Saw and that's a completely different song.

I'll keep looking tho.
