Today's topic in our ever-busy (!) office is to compile a list of rock stars who should, frankly, be dead (for one reason or another - usually cars, drinks, or drugs). We've thought of Steve Tyler, Rick Parfitt and Ozzy Osbourne so far. Anyone got others together with reasons. Also, if you have good reasons for the 3 above, we'd love to hear them.

Mick Jagger - then he and Steve Tyler could have competitions in the afterlife to see who has the biggest gob!!
Now then - you've only got to take one look at Keith Richard from the Stones to see why. If ever a man epitomised the result of the abuse of chemical substances - it's dear old Keefy!!
How could you add Rick "smoke like a chimney though i've had a triple bypass" Parfitt to the list? You could add his mate Francis "snort anything me" Rossi......
See if you can trump this one - Shane MacGowan. Do you really need a reason for this candidate? *wink*
Motley Crue's Nikki Sixx has been declared dead on at least two occassions, Iggy Pop probably is dead and Lemmy went for a total blood transfusion (as in the type Keith Richards supposedly went for) and was refused after a doctor told him his body was so used to highly toxic blood that the pure stuff would kill him!
I'd imagine Depeche Mode's Dave Gahan would be a good candidate - he's practically died several times from herion/coke overdoses. I think I remember reading something along the lines that he had a heart attack after a gig, but was back on stage the next night...
Well Billy Idol has been close to a meeting with the grim reaper on more than one occasion, Roger "Syd" Barrett of The Pink Floyd fame surely should have pegged out on a LSD overdose but just blew a few too many fuses, Eric Clapton did his fair share of the Bolivian marching powder in his time according to some....I hope you don't see all us musicians in the same light esp. the guitarists!
I dunno if this comes under this but - what did happen to Peter Green? There he was, doing his thing (damn finely, too) and then bingo! - recluse for donkeys years. He's dragging himself back - but still not all there.....a troubled man.
Still has the gift, though.
Lou Reed comes immediately to mind. Gregg Allman could have joined his brother in rock heaven. Dunno about Peter Green and Syd Barrett though - for all their mental problems, they weren't in danger of killing themselves through substance abuse - unless you mean that they'd literally have committed suicide
