I am looking for the name of a piece which begins with the chord of A minor, hammered on and then a bass run from G, F#, E. The pattern repeats and then runs up the fret board through B to high E. It is a well know piece, especially for beginners, played at a vivace tempo. I remember it being the theme tune to a 1970's UK TV programme too.

It may be Classical Gas by Mason Williams though it is always hard to explain music verbally.
