Thanks to searching the web for 'Lynyrd Skynyrd albums' I come up with 19 original studio and live LPs, a gazillion compilations and assorted side projects. We learn, for instance, that the original (pre plane crash) Skynyrd produced seven original, planned albums: (pronounced leh-nerd skin-nerd), Second Helping, Nuthin' Fancy, Gimme Back My Bullets, One More From The Road, Street Survivors and the ironically-entitled Skynyrd's First And... Last. Then came one compilation of unreleased material - Legend.

Since reforming in the mid-80's they've released a further eleven original albums - Southern By The Grace of God, Lynyrd Skynyrd 1991, What's Your Name, The Last Rebel, Endangered Species, Southern Knights, Twenty (what have I missed?!), Lyve From Steel Town, Edge Of Forever, Christmas Time Again and Turn It Up. Smaller and smaller labels, fewer and fewer original band members (looks like Gary Rossington and occasionally Billy Powell) and less and less desirable. Buy thr first three - or a decent mid-price Best Of...!
