I wish I was a punk rocker (with flowers in my hair) by Sandi Thom.

We have the radio on at work and this song seems to be constantly on. It's driving me mad! And since when did punks wear flowers in their hair??!

Any more nominations?....

Exactly loopy! but I guess that doesn't rhyme with air and other such nice, fluffy things! Surely if should say sprayed rigid with tons of lacquer, soap etc....!

*it
I haven't really heard more than 30 seconds of this song and I just can't understand it. However, we still have more irritating songs. Shane Ward has been on the music channels constantly and I am so sick of it! I get it. He's not making any promises!

Not forgetting our Eurovision song entry of course... but then, I haven't heard that much on the radio (for some reason...!)
i wish i was a punk rocker with a can of hairspray in my hair and pins in my nose!! sounds quite good to me.
It's On Radio Hallam ( Sheffield) At the moment!
lol. And completely agree with the eurovision. Is it just me or is it odd that young children (aged under 10 at least) are singing the backing vocals on a song about teenage life?!?!

And he's more scary than the guys from Finland who won!!

Listen to the lyrics and you might understand the title!

that song drives me nuts - radio off every time.

BUT - the song is about her wish to be a hippy activist or punk rectioanry, but missing the time, hence, punk rocker with flowers in her hair.

It's still *-*-*-*-*

This one where he sings in a Sh sh sh voice. About three men with a "semi" by the sea.

A semi what? That song is wierd.

James Blunt "Wisemen" you mean?

Think he means semi detatched house by the sea as in they think they have done well for themselves, but they are not so wise coz he goes on to sing where are they now as in they haven't done so well and arent really wise at all!

I love that song! then again i love james blunt too!!!
Well something else springs ot my mind when he says "semi". Now it's stuck there whenever I hear it.

exactly what I thought jedi!!!

thank god I'm not the only one with a filthy mind...

Well, I think it's a great song. As has been mentioned, if you actually listen to the lyrics, all is explained. It's better than half of the stuff in the charts.
Blunt's song is rubbish.

There was a song in the late seventies popular in Scotland.

I want to be punk but my mammie will nae let me!

Sums up the seventies for many of us.

I agree about THAT record - I can't believe people will actually want to buy it. It's played a lot on Virgin in London, who also play "Hurry up England" - a Jimmy Pursey remake of the old Sham 69 song "Hurry up Harry". The first time I heard I I thought, oh yeah, that's alright, but they play it to death and I am sick of it.
