I can't stand it any more! I have searched every track used from the Apprentice and still can't find what I'm looking for. It's piano, only played for a few seconds, but it's been used in at least the last four episodes, somewhere about the middle of the programme. Can anyone put me out of my misery? Yes, have checked drumasters, BBC Apprentice website, all threads on theanswerbank, to no avail.

its possibly the piano break thats a part of the track 'clubbed to death'. they play that one a bit in the apprentice.

Hmmm. Is that Rob Dougan or the Matrix soundtrack? Have previewed them on Amazon and they don't sound like that, but maybe I should listen to the whole tunes? But, many thanks for your help.
If it's the one that goes "plink plink plink plink plinky-plink-plonk, plinky-plinky-plinky-plink-plonk", it's "Black and White X 5" by Bill Conti from "The Thomas Crown Affair Original Soundtrack".
Question Author
Love the plink plink lyrics, beautifully explained!! But..... I have previewed those as well, and it's not either of them!! It's sort of a slow, solo, piano thingy........ thanks for trying to help, though! Maybe my sanity will be restored one day?

Sorry - I meant THAT, not those! Am losing the plot:)
They kept playing bits of Montagues and Capulets, a piece of piano music from Romeo and Juliet by Prokofiev. You could try and see if that's the one you mean.

Is it the Gravel road from The Village soundtrack.

Was asked in a previous post. So am not being clever :)

Does anyone know the music piece played when Michelle and Ruth were getting into their cars near the start of the programme? It was in the final episode.

Question Author
No, it's not gravel road or Romeo & Juliet (that's the main theme). Am still at a loss..... and I can't watch an episode on internet as I'm outside the UK..... grrrrrrrr!!!!!
sodam, im still convinced its clubbed to death. i know the track was remixed a lot. it should be on the original version that was in a caffreys advert years back and is also on the soundtrack of a french film also called clubbed to death starring beatrice dalle. the piano bit comes in towards the middle after all the weah weah bits.
imdb says its by rob d, who i presume is rob dougan.

The music that you are after is "Perpetuum Mobile" by the "Penguin Cafe Orchestra". Youre welcome.

Question Author
Many thanks to all.... however, it's not Perpetuum Mobile (I love Penguin Cafe Orchestra!), and am still trying to listen to a full version of Clubbed to Death to confirm if that's it............. :)
