Does anyone know of a song by or called Sabastian from the seventies or eighties. Its is not Belle and Sabastian. I heard it on a chat show Radio 2 when a chap was being interviewed on Tracks of My Years. Apparently first heard on Radio Luxembourg that made Sabastian so called famous. Thanks

Done by Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel, i believe. Although I don't think it was released as a single

Is def Steve Harley and the Cockney Rebel, it's on their greatest hits album...you can get it on Amazon for just over 3.

I remember hearing it on Radio Luxembourg - I was walking my dog really late with my transistor radio (whoop whoop - age alert!) pressed to my ear, and heard it. I bought the album the next day - the eppnymous Cockney Rebel debut - buy it rather than the Greatest Hits it is a fabulous album. No lead guitar, anywhere on it. Classic.
