I've had this tune going around in my head all day and for the life of me can't think what the song is called. It's by a female soul singer, the only lines I can seem to remember are something like...... "and I'm not leaving" or it could be "and I'm not going". The lady has a big voice on the lines of Jocelyn Brown. Please help.

Thanks.

How long ago are we talking, Bez? It sounds like it could be And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going by Jennifer Holliday, a smallish hit from 1982. It would certainly fit the bill as far as the "big voice" is concerned. It was much loved by Dave Lee "Hairy Cornflake" Travis at the time, I seem to remember.

littleoldme, Thank you so much......that's the song....I love this song. For some reason I just drew a blank today trying to think of it, I even went through my CD collection, but couldn't find it..... it's there somewhere.

Thanks again...I will sleep tonight now...xx

I wonder if it's from 'Midnight Train to Georgia' by Gladys Knight and the Pips, but I may be wrong.
