Which recording artist had a 1958 British No. 1 hit single and also produced a 1964 No. 2 hit single?

Being a music buff this has got me intertested and I have spent ages searching the web, but I canot find the answer.

The artists who had UK number ones in 1958 were: Harry Belafonte, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, Michael Holliday, Perry Como, Marvin Rainwater, Connie Francis, Vic Damone, Everly Brothers, Kalin Twins, Tommy Edwards, Lord Rockingham X1 and Conway Twitty.

I cannot find any that may have produced a song in 1964.

But Jack Good did help put together the group Lord Rockingham X1 (it was mostly session musicians but not sure if he played with them) and he also did some producing.

He produced P J Proby who had 3 hits in 1964. Not sure if any were number 2 though.

That may give you something to go on.

Connie Francis is the only one who produced regularly out of the list of number 1's above. But I can't find a list of all the songs she produced as of yet.

Although not an answer to the question, two links that exist between artists in this list and that of no.1s from 1958...

On Millie's first single in 1963 'Don't You Know', she was accompanied by an orchestra conducted by Lord Rockingham XI's Harry Robinson.
Gene Pitney wrote songs for Tommy Edwards (and they share a birthday, namely 17th Feb).

Thank you all for your assistance with this question. The answer has now been revealed as Harry Robinson who with Lord Rockingham had a No1. hit with Hoots Mon in 1958 and also produced Millies No.2 My Boy Lollipop in 1964.
