Song name and artist - modern jazzy Italian sounding

I'm trying to find the name of a song and artist. I know this is horrendously vague... but I'm sure someone will recognise it.

The song is modern, up-beat and has a jazzy feel to it, but it's instantly "Italian" sounding. I suspect that it isn't Italian at all. From memory it's mostly (or all) instrumental.

The song is used fairly often on TV. Last time I heard it was during Pop Idol - it was background music for one of the clips about one of the last 10 performers but I don't remember which one!
