I saw a song once on MTV in around 2000 where the video was made entirely of a white piece of string on a black background that changed into the shape of a man walking along and seeing various objects, all made from the same piece of string. The song is a slower-than-average dance track that has one word samples of a male voice which I know are taken from the song "Why Did You Do It" by Stretch, although this song actually sounds nothing like the original.

Has anybody else ever seen this song as well, or does anybody know where to start looking? I have spent a long time looking on the internet, with no luck.

I think the artist name may begin with F or G and sounds a bit French, but that's all I can remember.
