one hotel owner in Essex was interviewed on BBC yesterday, they did have key workers stay, but as far as i am aware they weren't open apart from that and were hoping to have a lifting of the lockdown sooner than later, later seems to be the most likely
I think in some cases they must be. For example, Gary Lineker - who lives in London - presents Match of the Day from the BBC studios in Salford live around 10:30pm on Saturdays. When it finishes I'm sure he wouldn't then be travelling back to his home, so he must stay over somewhere. Perhaps he is a 'key worker'?
yes, live Tv broadcasters and tech staff are considered as essential services and are allowed to travel from home for work purposes and stay - covid securely - away from their homes.
many are counting on lifting of these lockdowns so they can take bookings for the year, that was the hotel in Essex, the proprietor had hopes that things will get a bit better and they can survive, as at one point they were down to their last 300 quid....
The house we bought in Stoke and still need to renovate - the utility providers want up to date meter readings and there is no way to do it other than drive up there. At least 4/hours each way and was just going to try and give Mr Smow a break by finding a B & B before drive home but looks like I can’t xx
