Most Overrated Music Star?

Sure he wrote some good songs - as have many of the others named on this thread - but he has this kind of following as though he were a God. To me drawling voice, particularly ugly and all songs sung by him sound the same :-)

Yes, i'm not a great fan but quite like a few (well two- Suzanne and the Berlin one) but haven't really given him a go,a lthough my Mum loves him.
I do like Richard Hawley though who reminds me of Cohen vocally but to me is much better

I can't say they're over-rated as they are big stars, but I'm not too keen on Michael Bublé or Ed Shearen maybe its music style that disagrees/bores me... however I do like quite a few of Sir Eltons' songs but being honest I'm only familiar with his single releases.

Bob played in a festival near here in the last your or so. People commented that the was "out of time and out of tune" but acknowledged he was just the same as he always was.

I hate to be pedantic, but once again, people are missing the point of the Question.

It's not if you like someone's music or not, or if you can't understand why other people do like it.

The Question asks who is overrated - so regardless of commercial success, does the artist or band deserve the high regard in which they hare held, or not.

Which brings me neatly to my next most-overated artist - Morrissey.
