'Johnny B Goode' and 'Let It Rock' do, indeed, sound similar but that's probably because they were both written by (and originally performed by) Chuck Berry.

Here's Chuck Berry's live version of 'Let It Rock' but I have to admit to preferring the Refreshments version (probably because of the way that the sax player and pianist drive it along just as much as the drummer does):

I loved Chucks version of Promised Land better than Elvis's.
