Have a search on Google for Apple ipod nano problems. They look fantastic, but I think you should hold on for a while so you don't get tangled up in the mess that Apple's admitting to.

I've had a 3G 40Gb for Almost 2 Year and it's been brilliant. They are all the same to use so I hope you enjoy it if you take the plunge.

I have a Creative Zen Micro, and it's damn useless!!

my one has scratched badly even though ive been very careful with it. its the black one and after one week it looks like ive owned it for years. maybe the white one doesnt show marks....

I wouldn't count on it fooltech. I had my ipod for a matter of hours and got a scratch on the screen. After paying400 - yes count it.. I was really miffed. It's so bad now that I don't even notice. Buy a cover to protect it. But then, what's the point of buying these things to cover them up. . . GRRRRRR! (Head explodes and lands on submit

scratched screens are a massive problem with the Nano. don't get one, I'm telling you.

I have an Archos Gmini 200xs and I have had no problems. It's easy to navigate and downloading from the pc is simple drag and drop. The Archos web site support is good. Mine is not that old (August) and still looks like new.

Pity about the cr4p earphones (replaced now)
