Can anyone remember a TV sketch years ago that was a comedy version of the football results? It had scores such as: Dumbarton 2 Dick Barton 3, Clydebank 1 Barclays Bank 1... and Forfar so far 4. I am deperate to find it and would be grateful for any help anyone can give.

Thanks!

Ronnie Barker on David Frost I think then maybe it was used on Two Ronnies.

I think you are referring to The Stan Boardman vesion on some show or other, may have been the comedians in the 70's. Here are the Scottish half time scores...

East Fife 5 so far forfar 4

Dumbarton 2 Dick Barton 3

Cowdenbeath 1 Corned beef 0

Etc etc

Thanks guys. I will try searching those.

Imagine Ronnie Barker's Arkwright with the score:-

East Fife 5 Forfar 4

It would take up the whole bulletin!

Hehehe i can imagine what he'd have said at the end too. "Forforforfar soforfofof.... oh f**k it!"

I can't seem to find a reference to it anywhere on the net. I am trying to find the full script. Anyone know if its reproduced in a book somewhere?

If it was Ronnie Barker then the BBC record dept, or whatever they call it now, will have it, as they released an LP of two ronnies in the late 70s

Thank for your help. But I still can't find any reference to it.

I want it for a wedding speech. The bride and groom are Arsenal/ Man U supporters, respectively, and i want to do a spoof football result as part of the speech. I will use the ones you have all provided.

Can anyone remember or think of any more "scores" I can use? They dont even have to be from that old sketch. I found a couple that I will also use:

Jaws 3, Rocky 4.
Blake`s 7, Babylon 5

Anything you can come up with would be fantastic!
