is back with a new album. I loved her early stuff but this new album sounds a very dated style to me.

i used to love her, this is awful
That's bad.
i was going to post another of her songs, the best loved one, all around the world, from Ronnie Scotts from 2003 but even that's not that good.

I'm not sure she should have made a come back. I want to remember her for her early stuff. I wondered what others thought. Thanks for the feedback!
voice has gone.

She was one from my era. It seems that these stars that make a comeback never sound the same to the generation that appreciated them. We are expecting the songs that meant something to us or a reminder of what was. I usually think another one who has blown their nest egg.

Thanks Skrivens!
It would be wonderful if our favourite musicians were frozen in aspic, to remain exactly the same as they are when we discovered them.

But Lisa Stansfield unleashed her peerless voice when she was only fourteen, and now she is forty-seven - we all get older a day at a time.

So should musicians release a couple of albums, and then stop?

Or should they be allowed to mature like the rest of us - carry on doing the best work they can, and people can take it or leave it?

Obviously, I think the secnd is true - and I really like her latest single, and would argue that her voice has simply matured (along with the rest of her - and us!) and it's not fair to write her off.

Hi andy, of course artistes mature. I can't explain, it's like she's lost a bit of 'soul' to her voice & she's just going through the motions. I listened to this other track off the album & I'm still of the same opinion. I will be interested to see how well received it is!

the vocals have most definitely gone, a shame as she was one of my favourite female singers.
