Hi,

Our oil tank has been condemned, so as a temporary measure, does anyone know if the oil company will deliver central heating oil and put it into 50 gallon drums if I get the drums?
Thank you.

just to be pedantic, commercial fuel/oil drums are 205 litres, which is about 45 gallons.

thans for that info, I am going to have to spread the fuel over 3 drums as they won't deliver less than 500 ltrs.
Make sure you don't spill any into a water course. You can be fined A LOT of money.
Where are you? as lots of oil companies round here deliver less than 500 also petrol stations sell heating oil in pumps as well.

Hi Charlieuniforms,
boston lincs. not seen any pumps selling heating fuel, but can buy it from local oil delivery people in 20 ltr cans, at twice the price!!
That's bad our local station sells it on the pump, I think it has to be delivered to a safe place so not sure if they would deliver in those circumstances.
