I have obtained what looks like a straight soprano saxophone marked j.r.lafleur London with a serial number of 1321.

Can anyone advise me whether this a Bflat soprano or a C soprano? There are no other markings to indicate whether it is high or low pitch.

Any help will be appreciated.

Get a tuner (or a piano). Play the note C. If the tuner shows C or if it matches the piano's C, then you have a C melody saxophone.
