petula clarke sang a song in the sixties called CHARIOT - she sang it in french.

I wonder if any of you clever lot

a) have heard the song

b) understand french

c) can be bothered to translate it for me - loosely

it's on a cd in the car, my daughter sings along to it and wants to know what she's singing about. I can only tell her that she's leaving with someone on a sledge under a sliver moon and they fall off in the snow. but i could be completely wrong as i speak italian not french!
