Lou Reed collaborated with numerous musicians after leaving The Velvet Underground most notably JJ Cale, Robert Quine and bassist Fernando Saunders. Not sure if any of the other members( Sterling Morrison and Maureen Tucker) started another combo. Hope this helps a little.
