Anyone heard of a singer/songwriter called Foy Vance?  If so, what do you think of him?

Saw him supporting Tim Freedman at Ronnie Scott's. Fantastic voice - a little like Van Morrison crossed with Joe Cocker. Good gig. The other Tim Freedman gig was supported by Newton Battenburg Faullkner - well worth a look too at www.n-b-f.com

I am so pleased to hear that you have heard and enjoyed him.  I also think he is fantastic. 

Had you gone to Ronnie Scotts to hear someone else or Foy specifically?  Had you heard of him before?
