I remember going to see the open air concert in Hyde Park on 5th July 1969 (two days after Jones death) headlined by the Rolling Stones.

I remember Jagger released a load of butterflies in memory of Brian.

To be honest I mainly went to see a group called "Family" who were one of my favorites at the time, but was blown away by King Crimson.

The Stones were rather "low key" (maybe caused by Jones death) and I left after they had played about 2 or 3 songs.

I've been a fan of the Stones since they started, but have never seen them live. Still haven't lost the chance, I suppose, if I could afford the tickets!

I remember Family and King Crimson fondly. I saw them both at 'Mothers' in Erdington, Birmingham in 1969.
oooh 'Mothers' - now there's a venue from my mis-spent youth - definitely saw Free there and I'm pretty sure I saw the Richard Thompson era Fairports too :)
I went to Hyde Park for the Stones concert but was about a quarter of a mile from the stage and never saw a thing, but remember the sound system was clear as a bell. Saw loads of people at Mothers, including Pink Floyd, The Who, Moody Blues, Bonzo Dog, and many more. I thought it was great at the time, but understand now why my Dad used to panic as apparently they used to cram as many people as possible in and then lock the doors!! No Health & Safety back then!
