I wish to collect some music tracks from my iTunes list and burn them onto a CD.

One help instruction tells me to drag the selected tracks to make a play list, but I don't know where to drag them to.

It also tells me to first change the format of the music to MP3s by going to Edit and clicking on the Preference tab. Under the Preference tab click Importing and change the Import Using to MP3 Encoder, but on the preference tab window there isn't an importing tab.

Can anyone please help me out?

Thank you so much for your help.
There is no reason to convert to mp3 and you may diminish the quality of the recordings. If you have ripped CDs into iTunes or bought your songs from iTunes, the quality will be much better than mp3.
