i have installed itunes on my pc but when i copy movie files it doesn't show the files?

i have seen- videos on youtube that shows that when they add files to library the files are displayed?

Can you elaborate a bit, as to what files they are, are they films, music videos ?, purchased or free....?

they are movies in mp4 format
and when i click add file to library and then select the file to be added
the file doesn't show up in movies section in itunes

Just drag and drop the mp4 files from the various folders, so if it's a purchased film, then it should be in the Purchased folder in the Store section of itunes, so just drag and drop it either into the films folder of the library section or the films section of the device section.
