There weren't any UK singles charts until 1952, but on the US Billboard charts it was probably Bing Crosby's "I Can't Begin To Tell You"

If you're talking about the uk singles charts - well the NME started this by printing the top 12 in 1952. So there was no no 1 hit single in 1945.

There would possibly have been a sheet music chart, but not a record chart at that time.  I don't know if there are any websites that would show sheet music charts, I don't know if records would have been kept, especially in 1945 when we were recovering from WWII.
