...give us such pleasure? It's not like the air we breathe or the food we eat in order to stay alive yet it's something that each and every one of enjoys to various degrees.

Interesting isn't it? It seems to colour every part of of our lives and has the capacity to induce a whole range of emotions. Even those who profess to be 'tone deaf' (and I firmly believe that hardly anyone is actually tone deaf) can enjoy listening to music and attempting to sing along in their own, tuneless way.

This - http://www.flickr.com.../ellymack/4802416530/ - is a bridge that I pass regularly. It's in a flattened industrial area waiting for regeneration and the graffiti is still there eighteen months after I took the photo, but I love the sentiment.
music is responsible for changing something in our brains.
