brilliant childhood memories of this programme LL,
happy innocent stuff
He was also responsible Bobbi for 90% of the jingles for the first ITV adverts - Murraymints being the one I remember most.

He had a huge grand piano in his music room. I used to babysit for him and he would give me 10shilling!! (a huge amount back in the early 60's!!)

about Sunday evenings when me and my Mam would cuddle up in their big bed, with the feather mattress..lol, my Dad worked in Electronics back then after leaving the RAF, he constructed a Chrystal radio? for use in the bedroom, no portables then..

me too, I adore music of most genres
Dad only ever went out for a drink on Sunday evening but he would never go out till it finished bobbi, we used to sit round the table playing snap or something an sing along. Kids nowadays would probably laugh but they were happy days

Funnily enough only the other day I was looking at family photos and he was in one of them, at his youngest daughter's wedding.

He is gone now :o(.

He was a lovely, lovely man and so talented.

I've just been ordered to stop messing about as we're off to meet my sister so I'll see you later. You're right bobbi you tend to look back through rose tinted glasses but like today's music some of it was great but some of it was really terrible
