Can anybody help - I need to think of a pop song that has a classic intro, the type that is instantly recognised from the opening bar, before a word has been sung, like the piano intro in 'I Will Survive' etc. I would appreciate as many suggestions as possible. I know there has been a similar post but most of the offerings are heavy rock, this has to be upbeat. Thanks folks!

Donna Summer's 'I Feel Love'. Boomtown Rats' 'I don't like Mondays'.

Shout - Lulu, My first, my last, my everything - Barry White, You to me are everything - The Real Thing, Young guns - Wham, Uptown girl - Billy Joel, Carwash - Rose Royce, Wuthering Heights - Kate Bush, Last night a DJ saved my life - Indeep.

You`re the one that I want - Olivia Newton John and John Travolta
Loads of Bowie and Roxy Music, Lady Linda by the Beach Boys, What Becomes of the Broken Heart, Jimmy Ruffin,
Holding out for a hero has a really recognisable intro... as does Bohemian Rhapsody. Just look on any CD of Greatest Hits of all time or classic love songs etc.
