is always sold out, i admit i don't always patch into things early enough, but anything we want to go to, i can never get tickets. Either spend a fortune on ticket touts, which i won't do, or find some other way. Is it easier to belong to the venues website, or any way to be alerted to future music events. Classical musical mostly, but we are always open to other types of music.

i know you are awake, hellloooo
Tout websites buy them or a lot are put up for sale on ebay.
Question Author
thats the trouble, wouldn't buy from tout, and as to e bay, how safe is it?
That Ticket master online has always seemed to be the main place to buy tickets from. They are always dear from any place because alot of people want to go to concerts so they cash in on it. Then you get people buying lots of tickets then selling them for twice amount on ebay and people then bid higher and higher for them. So when you do finaly get a ticket and you have paid like 200 quid or sumat daft just to see it, you mess about all the costs of traveling to it and maybe pay for a hotel or b and b for the night coz it's late to travel home after it. and when you do get there your stood for hours waiting then they finaly come on and your stood behind tall people and the act is like a pin prick miles from you so you have to watch the big screen to actualy see most of it then you wonder why you paid 200 quid for a ticket. and you are totaly knackard frustrated and ruffled around the boa after all the agro and costs. You later buy the dvd of the concert and have much better time sat at home watching it! and it only cost you 15quid.

not this sadly, we want to go to the first night of the Proms, looked at both Albert Hall and BBC websites, it says no tickets for this event. You can take a chance on the day, or ring and ask about returns but these are like gold dust
Join 'Royalties gold' (rbs) or similar . I can get tickets even after they have supposedly sold out (most of the time)
Question Author
i did look this up, don't you have to be RBS customer. ?
Yes, but don't other banks do similar?
Question Author
don't think mine does.
Tout sure does spoil the fun. I think ebay is quite safe. I've never tried it but I know a friend who had bought them on ebay a few times.
i have lost count of the number of times have bought off Ebay never a problem the longer you leave it to buy so that you are nearer the concert date the more likely to get a good price unless it is a very in demand concert and then you may not get a ticket. I have also bought from Gumtree but you normally have to meet the person on that one and pay cash so I think less safe but again never had problem
