How to burn dvd's ?

I would like to burn/edit homemade dvd's in order to upload them to Youtube etc..

Which programme do I need to be able to do this?

And How?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I belive youtube uses AVI MOV WMV and MP4 format files, so putting your vids onto DVD is not required as these creat vob files which aren't compatible..

YouTube accepts AVI and MPEG video, if you don't know how to convert video to Youtube compatible video, here is a step by step guide for you
