this is a long shot but i saw this music video and was wondering if anybody could tell me what the song was
. it was kind of rock but because of whre i was i couldn't hear the song very well. its a relatively new song. the video was done it sepia tones (tinted kind of yellow) and had a sort of old film footage look to it. and every so often a quotation would come up onto the screen.

does anybody have any idea what song this might be?

The only song I can think of is "Transylvania" by McFly.

It's quite a recent song (about 6 months or so) and it sounds very similar to what you're describing.
