I've been trying to find out what instrument is used in the Beatles song benefit for Mr. Kite. It occurs during an instrumental section that starts about one minute into the song. I think it's a sitar but I can't seem to find out for sure. Any ideas? Cheers.

Would have to listen again, but George was an excellent sitar player, so it could well be.
Don't remember a sitar on that song, mostly fairground organs and such like
It's not a sitar. As Delboy says, it sounds more like keyboards doing fairground stuff.
Bit about it here on Wiki. No mention of a sitar.
