So many, John renbourn,bb king, mark knopfler,paul Kossoff I was also spoilt in the 60s because i travelled all over to see the yardbirds, and Jeff beck, jimmy page and clapton were all brilliant

But my favourite is Mark Knopfler, really unique style.

Rory was a fantastic player. Best heard on the live albums. Chris Rea's recent blues material is very good.

George Harrison (Who I like but obviously isn't the best) always said the best was Joe Brown. Now given that his best friend was Eric Clapton and that he was around the likes of Jimmy Page etc I think it has merit.

Rory Gallagher whom I saw at least 4 times live was a brilliant player and off the cuff was incomparable.

Hank Marvin (catch the end of Atlantis live in Cardiff, growling then soaring thirds), Marl Knopfler, Clapton, and also George Harrison for his habit of creeping up the frets and using unusual barre chords.
