Possibly Richard Tauber, Josef Locke or one of the others listed here...

I know Richard Tauber sang "My Heart and I",but he died in 48. Probably my favourite tenor.
Can't think who sang 'life gets tedious, don't it'
carson robison? loads of folk have covered it apparently.
Walter Brennan - Life Gets Tee-jus, Don't It

The sun comes up and the sun goes down,
The hands on the clock keep going round,
I just get up and it's time to lay down,
Life gets tedious, don't it?
My shoes untied but I don't care,
I was'nt figuring on going nowhere,
I'd have to wash and comb my hair,
And that's just wasted effort.
Think the second one was called "My Heart and I" and sung by Josef Locke

We are in love with you, my heart and I
And we are always true, my heart and I
When you are far away each smile's a tear
But it's a lovely day when you are near
Maybe that love is blind when passion rules
And that my heart and I are just two fools
And yet my darling if you ever say goodbye
I know we both should die, my heart and I
