which smashing pumpkins album is best?

Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness

or The Greatest Hits

theyre both the same price and i duno which one to get. i know the greatest hits will have all the best songs on it, but the mellon collie has almost 2 times as many songs so it seems better value.

any ideas? thanks

Personally I think Mellon Collie is a great album

Agreed. Billy Corgans solo album is good too. By the way, Smashing Pumpkins are reforming.

It depends if you've got any of their other albums. If not, then the best of would be ideal as has some amazing tracks that aren't on mellon collie. It's tricky though, cos Mellon Collie is good x

Have to agree with the others, Mellon Collie is the better of the two, but (sorry Londondave) i don't like Corgan's solo stuff.
Can't put my finger on what it is, but it's definitely lacking that special something that he had with the Pumpkins.
