Anyone recommend any nice Hotel/B&B in Brighton, reasonably priced. Doesn't matter if Gay or Straight. Preferably Gay they tend to be cleaner lol.

If you are looking for gay, then go to Legends.
Legends is nice. It has a very jolly bar, it's right on the front in a great location.

But, if you can get a reasonable deal, the best hotel (without paying for The Grand or the Hotel du Vin) is the Thistle. depending when you go, you can get some good deals there. It backs right on to The Lanes, and overlooks the Pier.

And here's an insider tip ...

There's a car park behind the Thistle (called The Lanes Car Park, I think) where the max price you have to pay, no matter how long you stay, is £23.00. Handy if you want to park in the centre of town for 2/3 days !!
I didnt know they did gay or straight hotels in brighton, I thought they were just hotels..
Apart from that, staying close to the centre, there's The Queen's. It's not bad, although not as nice as the Thistle. But, it's in a fab location (next door to the casino, actually).
I've stayed at the Thistle, it was fine - my brother knew a man who got us staff discount so the price was very good - I was a bit taken aback to see how much extra they charged for rooms with a sea view!
cazzz ...

Mostly, they are. But Legend's is a "gay hotel" ...

(in the same way that bars can be "gay bars" and the Princess Victoria is a lesbian bar)
wow, I would just wander in to these places without knowing.... :o
Boxy ...

It's the same at all the hotels on the front.

But if you stay at The Queen's, you can ask for a "west facing" room, and you get a sea view, without paying for one. That's because the hotel faces sideways down the seafront.

It's hard to describe, but there's a funny little junction. It you came you of The Thistle, and looked to your left, you are looking at the front of The Queen's (next to that little bar called Doctor Brighton's).
cazzz ...

If you walked into Legend's, you'd realize pretty fast !!

And if you went on their website to book a room ...

... "Brighton's Premier gay Hotel" might be a bit of a clue, LOL.

We go in there a lot. Just to the bar, not to stay.

It is so jolly. And, as hibeeslass says ... incredibly clean.
