are you getting a warning light about the build up of pressure?

Or are you reading a pressure gauge on your facia? If a warning light comes on there is prolly a blockage most likely in the heating matrix cos som a**hole used a radiator "fix" fluid in the past.

Most new cars run a closed cooling system and they do run under pressure, start worrying when steam drifts up from the bonnet! You have a leak or worse....

After a run let the engine go cold. Now take off the cap and see if there is pressure. It could be a sign that your head or head gasket is leaking.

It could also be a minor blockage or airlock.

it depends what you mean by pressure all car cooling systems run at pressure when warm this is to raise the boiling point of the coolant if the car is operating normally and not loosing coolant or overheating your probably fine check for abnormally high temperature readings and or excessive amounts of steam from exhaust if the latter is happening your head gasket is most likely blown note that on damp days you will get steam from a healthy car engine
