I have put a big dent in the rear passenger side of my Nissan Micra. I have been told that it's a new panel ( about 1k ) Someone told me that dents can sometimes be " pulled " out using a suction device. Does anyone know if this is true and , if so , where can i get one ( or hire one )?

It depends upon if the metal has creased, and if the panel is 'double skinned' ie. has two layers. If however the dent is nice and rounded, it can usually be pulled or pushed out with variable results from OK to unnoticeable. This can be done by removing the interior trim and pushing it out, at a garage with professional suction or even with something as simple as a rubber plunger, used to unblock sinks! Either way, get a second opinion before having a new panel fitted. This will be expensive, and devalue your car. Good luck.
you can sometimes get a firm called dent dr or something similar. they can do dents on your drive way and for very little money. You may be best calling first to tell them how big yours is and how bad.
