Electric windows not working - nissan sunny

I have a J reg '92 nissan sunny and the electric windows have stopped working. The sunroof still works and although the main controller for the windows is inside the drivers door, all the other windows wont open either using their own switches.

When they first started playing up you could hear a whirring noise within the switch panel when the switch was pressed, but now you hear nothing.

We have had a look at the fuse, which doesn't look worn,and we thought it might be the relay, but we cannot find any reference to a relay within the manual.

Any help and tips very much appreciated

I have exactly the same problem in my M reg sunny! I didn't have any strange sound though, they just stopped working. I will wait with you for a reply!

have you put a meter on the wires coming into the panel
to check to see if there is power coming in?
