I have a 53 plate 2.0tdci c-max
The last few days, every time i use the car, and wether engine is running or not (but as far as i know only when unlocked), there is the sound of the locks going on and off.

They make the noise every 5 seconds or so at worst times and im wondering what is up with them.

i cant see any mention of it in manual so has anyone any ideas?

:(
i couldnt fit the kids in it.

i loved that car :(
sounds like your havin some kind of power issue " feedback from somewhere causing the door locks to activate" check for bad earth connection .
alternatively as its a central remote type locking system check to ensure all doors are locking / unlocking when you lock /unlock the car " as this can cause the activation of the locks - as they try equal the command thought the vehicle " in other words possible faulty lock on one door .
P.S. also make sure all doors are fully closed.. this can cause the door lock to not work properly. however not normaly when the doors are set to unlock..

thank you.
I have checked all the doors and locks (warning system on dash will also advise if any doors are open, and which ones) The car locks ok when i leave it too.

I shall ask Mr CRX to check the earth.
Did you have a bad frost morning when this happened? If this is the case, other cars may have the same problem.

no, the weather has been pretty mild here.
Last night i drove the car for well over an hour and it didnt happen once.
